Hi everyone.
I was always a reader. My father instilled that love in me and every evening he would be found in his chair with a mystery or detective novel and the dictionary. I grew up on the Rex Stout Nero Wolfe books, Agatha Christies and Alfred Hitchcock compilations. I used to write my own mysteries and of course I was the smart detective who always got the bad guy
Loved it all, and of course I had to read Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden mysteries. I had quite a collection. I think I even read some Hardy boys.
I picked up romances in my teen years, put them down again when I had my kids and began reading women's fiction and best sellers and the occasional mystery. Still my first love.
I had an operation in the summer of 2012 and acquired a towering TBR pile and rediscovered my love of romance, and devoured book after book (after book). Having also been an English major and a frustrated novelist, i itched to write my own.
So I did, and wrote a Regency romance. It's on submission with several agents and publishers, but somewhere along the way, I picked up a Male/Male romance and it was like Holy Cow who turned the lights on?
i couldn't get enough. i can't even begin to tell you how many I've read, but needless to say I have never looked back. Barely touched an Historical romance since.
One day walking home from work, a story exploded in my head, names, scenes, everything. i ran home, told my critique friend and another dear friend and they told me write it.
And so "A Rescued Heart" was born, and I love it. Love my characters, and I'm thrilled to say that it's been picked up by the wonderful people at Loose-ID, and A Rescued Heart will be published in August of 2014!!
I firmly believe everyone is entitled to live how they want and love who they want as long as they don't physically/mentally abuse another person.
Because love is too precious and fleeting.
